Frequently Asked Questions

We require all of our dogs to have distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, Pavo virus, Bordetella, and rabies for dogs, six months or older. We will require these vaccinations to be up to date during every session, class, or event, even when it’s open to the public.

 note that if your dog does not meet requirements, your dog will be suspended from attending boarding or classes.

Yes! We require a deposit of half of the total amount up front for Board & Trains, as well as require all payments to be paid in full before the end of a first lesson for Class, Private lessons, and boarding.

No, American Canine can split payments up before training starts, however, to have all appropriate equipment, your total must be paid in full. 

Yes! Currently we either will travel up to 30 minutes outside of Fairview, or meet you in the middle. Outside of our radius will require extra cost.

Private lessons will, and must be scheduled within 90 days of the start date after first lesson, or can be rescheduled with an exact time, day, and place agreed upon, with no rescheduled permitted post 90 days of training! As important as it is for Docs to consistently have routine, it is important to us that you spend your money wisely with us, please be aware, and be proactive to ensure you spend your time wisely.

As well as, any private lessons untaken can be redeemed in Pack Walks/Hikes, and cannot be used past 90 days of the start of your dogs start date. 

All dogs needing a maintained coat such as poodles, longhaired shepherds, husky’s, or any other medium- longhaired or thick coated dog staying with a trainer every 7 days must pay a mobile groomer‘s fees to groom at the trainers location, or must pay extra for trainer to find a mobile groomer to help prevent matting, and to maintain health of dogs.
